An exhibition exploring the history of Tiffany & Co has opened in London for the summer, celebrating 150 years since the jeweller first came to the capital.
Taking place at the Saatchi Gallery, the Vision & Virtuosity exhibit houses more than 400 objects from the jeweller's vast archives, taking visitors on a journey starting from its founding in 1837 in New York.
For the opening the 9th june, the sens of heritage extended to the party. On the second floor, London was transformed into a small corner of New York. One side of the space became a recreation of the Carlyle Hotel's Bemelmans Bar, complete with custom wallpaper featuring sketches of Tiffany pieces, while the other side tool inspiration from Grand Central Oyster bar. Guests crowded around checker-cloth tables, while Wilton's best oyster shucker made quick work of his shells. Towering seafood displays, charming waiters, and caviar and martini bars helped to complete the aura of old New York glamour.
